Hello Guys,We are all just came over all type of Operating systems like windows 7,8,8.1 and Most of us had faced the Issue “You’ve been Signed in with a Temporary Profile Error” , Ya, It’s Terrible.Today I’m going to Show you How to fix Temporary Profile Error in Widnows 8,8.1 and 10.
Steps For How to Fix “You’ve been Signed in with a Temporary Profile Error” in Windows 7,8,8.1 and 10?
Step 1: First of all Right Click on the Start and Search For Command Prompt in Your Windows 7,8,8.1 and 10.
Step 2: Now Right Click on the Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.
Step 3: Now Type the Command whoami /user and Press Enter to Get your SID (Security identifier).
*Use this Command Given below in the Code Box.
whoami /user
Alternative Command to Get your SID
NET USER WMIC USERACCOUNT WHERE NAME='administrator' GET SID
Step 5: Now Type this Command NET USER.
Step 6: Now Type this Alternative Command WMIC USERACCOUNT WHERE NAME=’administrator’ GET SID to get SID if didn’t get in first command.
Replace the Administrator with your PC Admin User Name.
Step 7: Now Right Click on Start and Select Run.
Step 8: Now Type Regedit and Click OK.
Step 9: Now Locate the Following Directory as Given Below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Step 10: If You can’t understand Follow this steps otherwise move on to next steps.
Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and Look For SOFTWARE Directory.
Now Click on the Microsoft Folder and Look for Windows NT and Navigate to CurrentVersion Folder.
Now Select the ProfileList Folder.
Step 11: Now You’ll See the SID of your account which is having two profiles in Registry Editor,
The One Which has .bak Extension is the Original Profile and Other With Same SID without any Extension is the Temporary Profile.
Three Methods To Fix this Problem
1.Deleting the Temporary Profile and Removing the .Bak Extension
Step 12: This Method is Simple , Just Delete the Temporary Profile which has the Same SID Without .bak Extension.
Now Rename the Original Profile by Removing the .bak Extension.
Restart Your Pc and Check it ! If Not Works Try Other 2 Methods.
2.Rename the Temporary Profile to .bak1
Step 13: This Method is Also Simple , Just Rename the Temporary Profile to .bak1 which has the Same SID Without .bak Extension.
Restart Your Pc and Check it ! If Not Works Try this Last Methods.
3.Setting the Correct User Path.
Step 14: Click on the Correct SID and Double Click the ProfileImagePath and Set the Correct User Location in the Value Box.
Example : C:\Users\Vasanth
Step 15: And Also Double Click on the State DWORD and Change the Value to 0.
Restart Your Computer For Changes to Take Place and You’re Done Man !
